The distinction matters
The right treatment starts with looking closely.
A photograph can start the conversation, but Lloyd’s needs to inspect the wood, veneer, finish, prior repairs and damage before promising an approach. New England heat, humidity and older construction can all affect what a piece needs.
Refinishing
Refinishing renews or replaces a worn or failed finish after the wood and existing coating have been evaluated.
Restauración
Restoration preserves as much appropriate existing material and character as practical while returning the piece or installation to sound use.

Replication recreates a missing or unsalvageable component by matching its profile, wood, construction, scale and finish as closely as the project requires.

When a piece is missing or a new section must join existing work, species, grain, profile, joinery, color, sheen, proportions and surrounding architecture all matter. Bring an existing piece, photograph, rough sketch, supplied plan or formal specification. We would rather inspect it than guess.
