Lloyd’s Woodworking
A Hudson shop for work that has to fit the room, the building and the way it will be used.
Trust us with what matters.
We'll make it last.
Since 1969, Lloyd’s has built custom cabinetry and furniture, repaired and restored existing woodwork, and supported church, commercial and trade projects across Massachusetts and New England. We can start with plans, a photograph, an existing piece or a rough idea.

The detail is the design.
Profiles, joinery, species, finishes and construction methods matter whether a piece is being repaired, replicated or made new. If a profile or finish has to match, we would rather inspect it than guess.
Read the woodworking guideProfiles
Read the existing shape.
Joinery
Understand how it was made.
Material
Match the wood and its character.
Finish
Make the new work sit with the old.
Restoration & replication
When the original can’t simply be replaced.
Existing profiles, joinery, species, finishes and construction methods often need to be understood before anything is repaired or reproduced. Lloyd’s can work from existing furniture, a photograph, a new design or supplied plans.
Listen closely
The right starting point is the room, the original piece, the plan and the people responsible for it.
Read the details
Profiles, species, joinery, proportions and finish are documented before work begins.
Make with purpose
Repair usable material or fabricate the new component with the project in view.
Set it in place
Finished work is made to belong with the surrounding architecture, not compete with it.

Woodwork that belongs to the architecture.
Libraries, built-in cabinetry, wall paneling, mantels, doors, furniture and specialty pieces begin with the room — its proportions, use and point of view. We build from plans, references, existing pieces or a conversation.
